A verse so thin
From bane akin
To other words
This, that soul din.
A hollow noise
Like fate boxed in.
A simple scale
And meter's been.
I've found these rhymes
And words before.
A bard, I am
And do implore.
Please do not read,
My lost Lenore.
She haunts me still,
From my front door.
So dumb in sums,
A kingdom comes.
As wasted funds,
Met idle thumbs.
Again regret,
From none but crumbs,
A love not tasted,
Life becomes.
Not much at all makes sense to me,
But ruse deceit and parody.
Before she came just misery,
Day in and out, autonomy.
Of rules and rites of jubilee,
But in my wit a mockery,
This strain a sense of villainy.
What can I sell but irony?
What can I sell but lidlessly?
I am no merchant, but a crow
Each day just cackle to bestow.
Each week like passing clouds to me
Each month another extant fee
To ends albeit daintily
Foregrounds foregone on ancient plea?
For gamut’s span or gambles three?
Was worth it's weight or sorcery?
Valleys low and branches high,
Percolating visions nigh,
When soldiers give no alibi,
To rain drenched leaves and flower's sky,
Look up, close a sunken eye,
Today the mountains run awry.
Fly in form to heaven's breast,
Apex drain in apex nest,
Spread your wings and sing your song,
Through spaces vast and visions long,
Find a way to dampen sighs,
Between the strain of rain drenched eyes.
Leaves are bound
In pages fraught
With ample ties
And room for thought
Puns & riddles
Found in time
Coax a reason
And a rhyme
Room for tactics
Erred Sublime,
In life's ambition
Fork or tine?
Betwixt the masses and the shrines
Thieves and patrons gemming mines
Stands a hero big and tall
Knows no conflict or guffaw
Shows his prudence through his jaw
Yet fights invigored through the haul.
Sold in threes,
The wrung of trees.
Where cadence sounds,
Through coffee grounds
In earnest lot
Had been forgot
And sticks or stones
Reside in thrones
There is parlay
To each his day
And to it now
In roses fraught
Or sages found
Through eons round.
What's left to do
But stay awake?
With all the world's
Precepts at stake
Not one to fare
The midnight rake
All sail ashore
A dwindling lake
How many ticks
Denotes the clock?
Or dolphins frolic
'Neath the dock?
But one to sound
A key and lock
Echoes ripple notes of Bach.
Interring its sleuth
Deep into the
Molten clast,
Participles of prejudice
Perforated at the seams
by some odium of binded menace
Leaves quarrelling irradiated
Grains aloft of reason.
Havoc questions why
As serendipity wanders in stupor.
Half a life to sing this song
Half a breath to greet the throng
Half an hour to the gong
Sit and write and play along
Thirty ticks then back to school
Back to life to sit and drool
Back to back this latent pull
Thirty ticks to charge and fuel
What i can is what ill write
Who i can is who ill fight
Every rainbow filled with light
Every morning conquer spite
Time ticks on with tune in ear
Twenty now, to dry a tear
Conquer fate and trample fear
Words grow young each passing year
Fifteen down that's half my run
Every grain just packed with fun
Every line a loaded gun,
In every breeze there blows a pun
Ten to go lets do some math

A whisper of darkest night by Larathain, literature
Literature
A whisper of darkest night
A whisper of darkest night
The drip of dark that dawns its deign
A remark upon the reality of the insane
Deeper dusks the shadow of the night
Whispering wrong inside the light
I wonder to sanctity of hallows mark
Within the sacred solace of holy spark
In fate's furious falls we perceive
What could be delusion to the deceived
You may listen to the perils of poison
You may drink a darker source of reason
But within your darkness I sense a light
A shadow of what was once the right
I harry to restore the resource of soul
Within the desperate and dying light of your whole
I repair the sorrows of your sin
By the sacred light I hold within
I wh
Defy the night, surrender; me
I do defy this apple tree .
What once was found so gracefully,
Has now been cast out, ardently.
I should now cry, and weep in vain.
To hear their tune, it will not wane
Go without, a droughted cane
I feel without, torrential reign
Surrender now cotillion I do now dance a dance in dawn, what once was found now sorrow; gone. what was their dance cotillion .
Pick a pear, a peach, a plum
Woe is me, I was too dumb
To count my fingers
Without some,
Was four the score,
or 'nary one?
Silence! Here's a different kind of murder by Official-Immortal, literature
Literature
Silence! Here's a different kind of murder
If mirrors could lie, I could have seen a smiling face,
Free from all the worries and wires that tie
You and her, I could have stepped back a pace,
Only to undo that impatient sky.
The sky that was scared every night
But black was the colour she loved.
Black morning deceived to make her fight
Her demons. The marks on her brain, were carved.
If truth could lie, she would not be wounded.
Fighting her own reflection, She won't end up being dead.
But mirrors can't lie so here I stand surrounded
By faces I know and a part of me is lying beside. Dead!
Dread has always been honest.
It holds your hand and helps you cross the road
Slowly enough for a car to run you over
While you believe its for the best.
Dread has always been your friend.
It offers you a large room with no hole,
To roam freely while it asphyxiates you with gas.
But your heart it will mend.
Dread has always loved you.
Ready with a glass of sweet poison
Whenever you are thirsty.
Love like that only a few knew.
Give it your all, let it save you.
Sit down and think.
Beautified sadness is but momentary.
Denial will abandon you soon.
the drive-through is a magical place—
an enchanted kingdom
where your every wish,
where my every wish
is granted
arriving at the gates
there’s the smell—
the smell of grease and fairy dust
there’s the look—
the look of deep-fried desire
and oh there's that twinkle
that sparkle as the symphony
of sizzling grills
of over-flowing milkshakes
plays on
feet stomp on break pedals
and my window opens in
perfect unison with the gates to
this miraculous land
I utter my spells
recite my charms
and add—
at the very end—
“and yes
of course
I want fries with that”
